How to Replace a Jeep Cherokee Winnow Clench

The mechanical fan in your Landrover Cherokee uses a viscous hold close to keep the engine inside its normal operating temperature zone. A damaged operating room imperfect fan hold can quickly lead to overheating. IT is a estimable idea to routinely inspect the fan and its hold, as it is difficult to detect whatever damage to the meeting place away simply looking it. With the railway locomotive turned and glacial, the buff should freely rotate by hand. With the engine off and hot, the fan should exhibit some drag on when turned by hand.
Stair 1

Step 2

Step 3
Locate the clutch, which is fastened to the aft of the fan. Remove the four clutch mounting bolts on the back of the clutch by turning them sinistral with the wrench. Remove the winnow and clutch assembly from the engine compartment.

Remove the bolts and batty that attach the fan to the clutch away turning the bolts counterclockwise with the wrench. These bolts and nuts testament be reused to mount the sports fan onto the revolutionary clutch.
Step 5
Come out the winnow onto the new clutch. Tighten the fan climbing bolts and nuts by turning them clockwise with the wrench.
Step 6
Reinstall the four clutch climb bolts by turn them clockwise with the wrench.
Step 7
Set the pall back into position. Tighten the shroud mounting bolts by turning them in a clockwise direction with the wrench.
Reconnect the negative battery clamp away turning the clamp nut clockwise with the wrench.

Tips
- The clutch climbing bolts are bantam and easy to drop when removing. Place a sheet or cloth under the fomite to make it easier to find dropped nuts.
